This is a performance in China at soccer game. The people you see on the tribune are wearing special coats, where the outside is a different color than the inside. By open and close it, you can simply change your color very fast. They’re making a movie by just open and close their jackets.

I don’t know who the creator is, i found it on Facebook.

RULES/RESTRICTIONS
They absolutely need rules and restrictions, otherwise the animation doesn’t work right. They have to remember the place to stand and which color you have to show on which moment. And they have to be very strict, because it’s going so fast.
The most fun part is that everything could make a collection like this, if you could work together very well.

COMMENTS
I really like this way of making a collection of images/animation. They tell a story to just show a color. In this part the collaboration is very important, otherwise everything doesn’t work.

Book Nodes & Edges

ABOUT
This is a project called: Book Nodes & Edges. Everyone who purchase a book from the grid, creates a part of the collection.

CREATOR
The creators of this platform are: Nick Meehan, Adina Renner and Fabienne Wyss. Those people are also making the lines on the floor when a person purchase a book from the grid.

RULES/RESTRICTIONS
There are a few rules in this platform, first
> you have to choose a book from the grid
> remove the cone where you took it of
> draw a line to connect this node to the nearest empty node in the grid
> connect the node of the just purchased book to as many other nodes as possible, if this will close a triangle.
> The triangle must not include books
> Fill the triangle with lines pointing towards the just purchased book
> Never cross a line or a point

COMMENTS
By following the rules and restrictions, the buyers create there own piece of art. So the collections exist from platforms which are sold out of books. All those platforms create a collection of different triangles, because of the specific order.

Foor long lines

ABOUT
This is a collection, shaped in a drawing game which you can play with four people.

CREATOR
Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey, Roel Wouters and the artist Edo Paulus are the creators of this game.
The drawers are the creators of the drawings.

RULES/RESTRICTIONS
This game is about continuous drawing. Everyone takes a different colored pen and draws for 1.5 hours. You are allowed to take a rest for 5 minutes but don’t lift your pen. And you’re not allowed to cross other lines.

COMMENTS
I think this game is very interesting for a collection. I see it in a game of making patterns, every pattern will come out so different. But it creates something harmonious because of the line thickness. And te colors don’t be mixed up so they will be bright and beautiful on the paper.
The most interesting is the freedom you get for 1.5 hours, you can’t be to fast with drawing.

Brandfighters

ABOUT
Brandfighters.nl is an online website, searching for new advertisement.

CREATOR
The creator is the company that asks for the advertisement and the people who create the advertisements on the occasion of the companies.

RULES/RESTRICTIONS
Any company that asks for a new advertisement has their own rules. When you accept a challenge for an advertisement you can download the rules and restrictions. For example which fonds you can use, which color matches with your design, and the grid you can use for this type of advertisement.

COMMENTS
It depends on the company how many advertisements they choose in a month. All those advertisements together from all those different people make the collection in my opinion. They all used the same format but a different outcome.

RayFish Footwear

ABOUT
You can personalize your own shoe by RayFish Footwear by choosing a pattern or a combination of patterns. The shoes are made of stingray leather.

CREATOR
Design of the standard shoe: Jan Jansen in collaboration with Meijdam and van Mensvoort.
Output pattern desgin: from the customer itself.

RULES / RESTRICTIONS
The customer itself creates the collection, but with rules and restrictions from the footwear designer.
The RayFish leather material will be the same, thats what makes the collection together with the design of the footwear and the standard prints and colors.

COMMENTS
The RayFish shoe project is a Hoax to make people believe that it’s possible to manipulate RayFish. But also personalize your own RayFish leather and use it for your shoes.  I think it’s a nice way to make a collection, because the outcome is the same shoe (form Jan Jansen’s design) but with a lot of different and new patterns. This is because you can use the prints together but also mix them with each other. And this Hoax is a nice way to make people aware that not everything is possible.
